Born and raised in London, Ontario, Crystal has been immersed in the arts since her formative years, where she studied and played music at Prince Charles Public School, competing in local competitions such as the Kiwanis Music Festival (winning silver), and touring at a young age.

At sixteen, she then moved to kingston, On, where she continued to study in the performing arts with Al Rankin (Live Wire) in his masterminded theatre program,Theatre Complete, where she toured in depth throughout Ontario and Quebec, ultimately spurring growth as an artist, storyteller and actor.

During this time she would be granted permission by London’s beloved Jack Richardson ( Juno Award winning producer of the Guess Who) to audit his classes for free—leaving her with this forever haunting soul-punch, one that constantly reminds her she should be probably honoring his teachings, or at least die trying. Hence her upcoming music releases Grenade & Tired (being featured in her novel, Intoxicated Witch, to be released late September).

After a short diversion into the world of academics, graduating from Concordia University’s Liberal Arts College, she took her literary studies and combined this knowledge with her performing arts background—learning video production, and storytelling behind the lense. She continues to use this as her preferred medium while growing an audience—who are routinely surprised and captivated by her NO BS approach to writing.
